Titan® OTR Inflatable Penile Prosthesis Device Preparation
Cylinders and Pump Preparation
Step 1: Hold the cylinders with one hand and the pump with the other. Gently depress the Touch Pads to open the deflate valve.
Step 2: Squeeze the cylinders to expel air. While squeezing the cylinders, connect a 60 cc syringe filled with 30-40 cc of saline solution to the black tubing, and infuse 5 cc of the saline solution.
Step 3: Squeeze pump bulb 2-3 times to pull the saline solution into the pump and cylinders.
Step 4: While holding the cylinders’ proximal ends up, gently depress the Touch Pads once. (Note the deflate Touch Pads do not need to be continuously pressed to open deflate valve.)
Step 5: Aspirate all saline solution from cylinders using syringe. Clamp the tube using a shodded mosquito clamp, 1 click onto the pump tubing.
Step 6: Place cylinders and pump into antibiotic solution.
Reservoir Preparation
Step 1: Gently depress the Lock-out™ valve to open it. Squeeze the reservoir to remove air. Hook a 60 cc syringe with 30-40 cc’s of saline solution to the tubing.
Step 2: Transfer fluid from syringe into reservoir. Gently massage reservoir to collect air.
Step 3: Hold reservoir with Lock-out valve upward. Using syringe, remove all air and fluid. Repeat as necessary to remove remaining air and fluid.
Step 4: Clamp the tube using a shodded mosquito clamp, 1 click onto the reservoir tubing. Place reservoir into antibiotic solution of choice.
